When your grandparents drank coffee, they only had a couple of decisions to make. Did they drink their coffee black or with cream or sugar? Maybe they could choose between regular and decaf. They never had to consider a coffee’s terroir, microclimate, or whether the company’s mission would offend their friends or family. Instead of worrying about whether their coffee was shade-grown or if proceeds from its sale benefitted a local squirrel rehabilitation center, they enjoyed the simple pleasure of drinking a great cup of coffee.
At Regular Coffee, we miss the days when good coffee was a beverage, not a reflection of your personal brand. Coffee used to be something that brought people together. Our mission is to bring coffee back to its roots and make our overly-busy, modern lives a little simpler and a lot more pleasant.
We created Regular Coffee because we got sick of puzzling over our options in the coffee aisle. We’d stand there, just like you, wondering whether we really liked Arabica or Robusta beans and debating the differences between espresso, French, and dark roasts. We didn’t want to have to think about whether our coffee had notes of cinnamon and allspice, jasmine, Darjeeling tea, or red berries.
Inevitably, we’d pick a bag based on its label or messaging, not the contents inside. And we’d end up with lots of expensive, half-used bags and an inconsistent morning coffee.
We knew we could do better.
Our mission to find great, affordable, fresh coffee sent us to Columbia. We met with amazing growers who are committed to both consistency and quality. Eventually, we found the perfect bean and roast — something that everyone can enjoy.
We found our great coffee.
Then we set up regular, dependable subscriptions to take all the guesswork out of buying it.
We all need more time. If you spend 20 minutes less each month studying bags in the coffee aisle and 5 minutes less each day trying to remember which of those bags you actually liked, you’d have an extra three hours each month to do more important things. You could go to the park with your kids, prep for that big job interview, or brew a pot of Regular Coffee to share with friends.
When you subscribe to Regular Coffee, you’ll be amazed at how simple everything is. We’ve already found one bean and one roast that we know you’ll enjoy. All you have to do is pick out how much coffee you want each month, and we’ll ship it directly to your home or office. And unlike the stale beans in the supermarket aisle, we ship our beans within days of roasting, not months. Plus, you’ll always know that your coffee will be delicious and fairly priced.
Drinking coffee used to be a delight. It was the magic elixir that kept you awake and moderately civil. We certainly appreciate an outstanding cup of coffee, but the posturing and pretentions of the coffee industry have gotten a little ridiculous. We don’t want coffee to be so fancy and intimidating that you stop brewing it at home! We don’t want you wasting time in a drive-through waiting for mediocre coffee.
Instead, we’ll ship high-quality, affordable, and consistent Regular Coffee right to you.
And we’ll have a little fun while we’re at it.
At Regular Coffee, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our production standards are extremely high, but we’re not afraid to have some fun. For example, our kilo packaging is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the resilience of our Columbian farmers who had to resist narcos and rebel groups to keep their land. Don’t worry — most of our containers are sleek, streamlined, and won’t embarrass you in front of the neighbors.
If you’re tired of coffee that doesn’t live up to the hype, but you want more than your basic tub of grocery store beans, we’d love to send you some free Regular Coffee. We won’t even ask for your credit card number. Just fill out our free sample request form and we’ll let you try our beans for free. From there, we can help you select the perfect subscription for your needs.
